The Secret of His Presence

John 14:21-23 He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and (I) will manifest Myself to him.  Judas says to Him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.

I will love him and manifest myself to him. The Greek word for manifest is Empaniso – it means: To fully reveal.  To make publicly known. To bodily manifest one’s self.

This word that Christ chose was used in the Old Testament in the following verses:

Exodus 2:14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

Moses said in the Greek: Surely this thing has been made manifest.

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

This passage should read: “It shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord shall be made manifest and the house of God shall be on top of the mountains and it shall be exalted above the hills and all the nations shall come to it.”  And many nations shall go and say come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord and to the house of Jacob and He will tell us His way and we will walk in it. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.

(This passage is strangely similar to Christ’s words about a light on a hill.)

Micah 4:1-2 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established (Shall be made manifest) in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

There can be no mistake that the translators of the KJV in two places with the identical word mistranslated intentionally thus obscuring these passages from the words of Christ. If the Disciples are to be a light made manifest upon a hill – it believers are the temple this passage has great significance.

The next passage is even more significant and in the KJV again it is grossly mistranslated. The translation is so bad it does not even make sense. How can Christ be sought by those who do not seek him?

Isaiah 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

The passage should read:  I became manifest (I manifested myself) to those that asked not for me. I was found of those who sought me not.  I said behold I am here to a nation that called not on my name.

As powerful as these verses of Scripture are this is not what Christ was referring to when he said: John 14:21 He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and (I) will manifest Myself to him.

This is the promise that Christ has given to those that love him and keep His commandments.

The word Manifest is used twice in the following passage in verses 13 and 18.
Exodus 33:13-18 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, (Manifest thyself) that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. And He (God) said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he (Moses) said unto Him, (The Lord) If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he (Moses) said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. (Manifest thyself)

Even with all that Moses had seen and heard of the Lord, the burning bush, God speaking through Moses mouth to instruct him and the people, the gifts of apostleship that had been given unto him, the signs and wonders that God performed through Moses, God speaking to Moses in an audible voice, Moses on the mount able to enter the fire of God and to see in heaven the true tabernacle of God. God writing with his finger the ten commandments, Moses seeing with all of Israel God sitting on his throne with his body as the stars in the heavens, and eat and commune before Him. -- And yet there was a cry, a deep yearning within Moses "That I might know Him" That I might see the Glory of the Lord, that I might see the Goodness of The Lord -- that if I am found so worthy that I might see the Goodness of Lord -- while I yet live in the flesh. (08/07)

Do you so yearn for a deeper more abiding relationship with God, -- even as Moses did? (08/07)

Do you so hunger and thirst so that you might taste of His righteousness, and Holiness, -- even as Moses did? (08/07)

When we look at Aaron, when we look at the 70 elders, and we look at the multitude of the Israelites -- We do not find that cry, that yearning, or for that fact a seeking after the Lord. But what the Lord required of these obedience to His commandments -- that as Paul declares these were to be tutors and governors to lead one to the Lord and to the path of righteousness.(08/07)

What Christ is saying in John 14:21-23 is that to those that Love him and keep his commandments He will manifest himself and the Father in the land of the living in the same manner as The Father revealed Himself to Moses. (Some of this indeed occurred after the Jesus Christ was raised from the dead -- And He manifested Himself to His disciples and not the world for forty days. -- But Christ manifested Himself a few years later to Stephen as he was stoned, Christ manifested Himself two decades later to Paul the Apostle, and Christ manifested Himself six decades later beyond all measure to the Apostle John in prison on the Isle of Patmos. -- We show these things to declare unto you that just as Peter declared that the gift of the Holy Ghost was to them that are afar off and even to as many as receive the Lord -- So is Christ's promise that He will manifest Himself to those that love Him, and keep His commandments. 08/07)

So where then is the disconnect?  Why has Christ not seen fit to manifest Himself and the Father to us as He so did to Moses?

John 14:22 Judas says to Him, not Iscariot, Lord, How is it that You will manifest Yourself to US, (His disciples) and NOT to the world? (Those that call themselves by thy name, but walk A-Nomian [Without law, Willful disobedience,] seeking after the things of the flesh, and the lusts thereof,)

(This is Christ coming individually to those who have truly become His disciples. Not in word alone but in deed. This is Christ coming and manifesting Himself with those who love Him with all their heart, all their soul all their mind and all their strength, and then let that same love be shed abroad. 08/07)

Judas understood Christ words that He was going to reveal himself to his disciples and NOT to the world (Nor to those that walk in the image and likeness of this world 08/07) and he asked how was Jesus going to do that?

This contains the first part of the answer why why Christ has not seen fit to reveal Himself to us.

-- It is because we are not truly his disciples. And if we can be wholy honest with ourselves neither at any point have we ever really been. We instead have divided hearts and divided loyalties as we are the disciples of our pastors, our teachers and numerous preachers and ministries here there and everywhere. --But we have not been with our whole heart and all our loyalties a disciple of Jesus Christ.

There used to be an old Christain Maxim decades ago; He is either Lord of all, or not Lord at all. This is the true plumbline against which all shall be measured. So for the greatest number of part time lovers of Christ, and country club jet set beleivers who call themselves by His name, they are in fact not known of Him.

As is testified by Christ Himself
Matthew 7:22-23
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work (Teach and demonstrate) iniquity (A Nomion Without law, Willful disobedience)

In the bible School I attended some years ago this "Knowing Him" in this passage was routinely interprested as: "An intimate and personal knowledge of Him." And this "Not knowing Him" was declared as the "Lack of an intimate knowledge and personal knowledge of Him" -- But this teaching completely ignoresg Christ charge against those who cried out Lord, Lord in this passage: Christ demands obediance. So that regardless of how much we say we love Him and how intimate we beleive ourselves to be -- if we disobey Christ's words and Christ's commandments and even worse we teach others to Sin against Christ and God -- These Never Knew Him, and Were Never Known of Him.

You can not mix and match truth and be Christ's disciple.

If we accept over the commandments and Teachings of Jesus Christ, the words of our pastor, the words of our teacher, or the words of any number of ministries -- we despise Christ's words, and take the words instead of our true masters.

He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: So he that despises Christ disobeys his commandments and teaches others to disobey them as well. And whosoever does so shall be hated of Christ and hated of the Father.

The second part of this disconnect is explained in the words of Christ

He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and He that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and (I) will manifest Myself to him.

One can not be Christ's disciple and act as an independant agent seeking to negotiate some corrupt version of the Gospel that is acceptable to this person or ministry -- yet in essence this is what is declared to us by every preacher and ministry. -- This is A-Nomian. When every man does that which is right in their own eyes -- This is A- Nomian. There are not many ways and paths that lead to heaven. There is not the Catholic road, the Lutheran road, the Presbyterian road, the Southern Baptist road, the Word of Faith road, etc, there is only one road and Jesus Christ is the gate keeper. (I am the door) Without Christ you don't get through the straight and narrow gate, to even begin to walk the straight and narrow path.

Many in this hour believe they can seek and follow Him for their own personal gain, entertainment, and pleasure. -- This is not the Narrow and Invisible Gate, guarded by Christ Himself and neither is this the Narrow Way. Those that are Nomian Lawful, obedient, are those that love Christ and are translated through this narrow invisible gate, onto the path of the righteous, and along this path these can expect to see the things that the Apostles and prophets of old saw and heard of the Lord, because this path is the path of the manifest presence of God.

For 1800 long years believers have forsaken being Disciples of Christ alone, and following His words and commands alone. The graveyards of earth and hell are filled to over flowing with all of those who have perished as A- Nomian -- none of which entered into the promise. Just as none of the millions of Israelites that left Egypt becasue of sin corruption and A-Nomian these entered not the promise.

We can no longer do what our fathers did before us, and their fathers did before them. We need with our whole heart to turn unto the Lord Jesus Christ and become His disciples, and children of obedience and righteousness..

Song of Solomon 2:9 -- He stands behind our wall, He looks forth at the windows, showing (Glimpses 0f) Himself through the lattice.”

The revivals in church history have not been an end in themselves to create more and bigger denominations as men have supposed. The revivals have been God manifesting himself to create a hunger and thirst for God Alone in a people that:

Isaiah 65:1 I became manifest (I manifested myself) to those that asked not for me. I was found of those who sought me not.  I said behold I am here to a nation that called not on my name.

How else do you explain generation after generation of Christ going outside the camp of established churches and denominations and reaching out to sinners and creating for himself a people out of those who did not ask for Him, who did not seek Him, and who called not on his name?

Paul notes this passage:
Romans 10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

When we speak of sin we need to speak of defilement as well.
Leviticus 22:3 Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD.

Those that are unclean body, soul, or spirit, shall be cut off from God’s manifest presence, Sin and uncleaness; even after “salvation” will still separate you from God. Christ will not manifest himself nor the Father to those that have defiled themselves with other people words and teachings.Much less those who have committed what is listed in the Old and New covnenants as Sins unto death.

For generations believers have been lied to; that they can live anyway they like and that Christ will still forgive their sins and give them a complete pass.

Numbers 14:20-24  And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word: (Read this as I have forgiven their sins) But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land where into he went; and his seed shall possess it. (We want to make note here that this was not just Caleb that entered the land but Caleb sanctified all that were within his household, as did Joshua and Eliezer the priest and his household as well entered the land.)
But as for the rest of the Israelites that had so sinned though these men were forgiven of their sins and they received a pardon, they all perished in the wilderness none the less as the consequences of their unbelief, their disobedience, and their rebellion against the Lord.

After David  had committed adultery and then murdered Uriah the Hittite and took this man’s wife as his own. He repented

Psalm 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

David when his sin was found out was in abject fear of God's Spirit departing him as the Holy Spirit departed Saul and an evil spirit came upon him. -- David moved heaven and earth in repentence before God. And when David was forgiven, the consequences of his heineous acts never departed from his house for the rest of the days of his life.

2 Samuel 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me,(David's acts were against God -- And showed David's contempt for God's commandments) and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.(To Cover up his Adultery) (08/07)

When the Church cherry picks what it wants to believe -- It despises Christ and despeises God. (08/07)

When we fill ourselves with other mens books and teaching tapes -- We despise Christ and we despeise God. (08/07)

When we receive good teaching and we read in the word of God and obey not the commandments of Christ and God -- we despise Christ and we despise God. (08/07)

But the bible says that God shall remember their sins no more

Yes it does,

Isaiah 43:25  I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

And it does here again.

Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

But note what the same prophet says in another place:

Jeremiah 14:10 Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

Some will say but that;s old covenant brother, and seek to as they have been taught to disregard scripture.
To those we need only ask, When Jesus died on the cross did he forgive the Jews?  Yes he did.

So then why then if they were forgiven in the New Covenant bt Christ Himself. did Christ destroy Jerusalem in 70 AD slaughtering hundreds of thousands and leaving no stone left upon another?

The answer to this question is found among other places herein scripture:
Ezekiel 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, (The preachers of that day no longer cried against the sins of the children of Israel) he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. (Ezekiel is speaking here of sins unto death fornication, adultry, unjust divorce, murder, bearing false witness, beastiality, homosexuality, lesbianality, etc.)

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, (The sins unto death) it shall die

Ezekiel 18:20-28 The soul that sinneth, (The sins unto death) it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.    But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.    All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.   Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?  But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, (The sins unto death) and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin (The sins unto death) that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.  Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?    When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.   Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.   Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Ezekiel 33:1- 19 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,   Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:    If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;  Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.  He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.  But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.  So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?   Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?  Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: (The sins unto death) as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. (The sins unto death) When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, (The sins unto death) all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity (The sins unto death) that he hath committed, he shall die for it.  Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;  If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; (The sins unto death) he shall surely live, he shall not die.  None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.  Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.  When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.  But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

Salvation is a life-long walk not an event at a point of time that we can simply check off on our "spiritual" To Do List and then just walk away.

Solomon although he walked with God in his youth, although God visited him at least twice and honored him with the Spirit of wisdom – Solomon turned away from  the Lord and died in his sins – King Solomon is therefore in hell for having loved the world and the things of the world.  Note here that at no point after Solomon died does the bible call a remembrance of him.

It is David though he had sinned greatly – to a level that many would say there is no repentance from, and he paid dearly for that with persecutions and suffering for the rest of his natural life – YET David had turned from his sins and never looked back and for that HE LIVED, AND HE WAS SAVED and scripture continually looks back at King David and his righteousness before God.

1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Christ came to save sinners – think of the words on the Apostle’s lips. For ALL of them had great sin, perhaps sin well beyond the average believer. – Sins that although they had been forgiven, though they experienced great grace, and they were greatly beloved of the Lord, yet the sins that they had commited even before coming to Christ, were none the less on their hearts and minds even until their deaths.-- Yet in this day this remorse is called condemnation and declared to be of the devil. -- We openly declare this this is the acts of one that is just and right before the Lord. And not only over ones sins, but to be so troubled and burdened by the sins of others as well.

For him who has been for given much loveth much.

Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.  This having their personal greivieous sin ever before the frontlets of their eyes wrought great repentance in their lives. It made it so that they were continually aware that they were not called for their righteousness or holiness, and they did not any of their works because of any goodness or power that resided in them – this kept them lowly and humble.

Philippians 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: Paul is declaring here that he is yet not without sin, that though he is an apostle and has entered into what we would understand to be personal justification and personal sanctification -- he walks not in a state of sinless perfection.

John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin,(John includes himself here) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Likewise see here that the Apostle John, the one who had laid his head on Christ’s breast and heard the heartbeat of God s who himself entered into what we would understand to be personal justification and personal sanctifcation from the hand of Christ -- states here that he himself had not entered into a state of sinless perfection, that the disciple whom the Lord loved still had sin in his life, but that sin was NOT any of what scripture, Christ and the apostles list as sins unto death.  And as trying to conform into Christ;s image and likeness John walked in a state of continual repentance before the Lord staying under the laver and staying under Christ's blood.

John is further saying here that he if were to tell believers that because of his close relationship with Christ even as he was singled out as the disciple that the Lord loved  -- that from this personal relationship, and spiritual intimacy with Christ that somehow from personal relationship, and personal intimacy with Christ that John was now a man of special privilege, removing from him the burden of having to obey any lower realm things like the commandments of Christ, and that in this same deal John had also received some special dispensation of grace regarding his being able to sin (like Luther and Calvin, and Christ would just wink it away. -- If the Apostle John would have said or hinted at any of this, John declares here that he John the Apostle would be a liar. That John would have deceived himself, and that the truth is not in him.

1 John 2:3-5 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

When we examine closely the deeper life message of devotion and initmate spiritual fellowship with Christ -- when it is preached without repentence, and without one adhering to the teachings and commandments of Christ -- these teachings become utterly false. -- As they teach that we enter into a special grace and we are above the law even the law of Christ. This is unscriptural, and when someone so walks they are on the broad way and have not passed christ who is the guardian of the gate.

Equally when we closely the deeper life message on praise and worship of Christ and God -- when it is preached without repentence, and without one adhering to the teachings and commandments of Christ -- these teachings become utterly false. -- as they teach that we enter into a special grace and we are above the law even the law of Christ. This is unscriptural, and when someone so walks they are on the broad way and have not passed christ who is the guardian of the gate.

These are beguiling spiritual short cuts -- snares of the evil one to take one into the miriad of paths that lead no where that compose what is called the broad way.

How many times have I heard it espoused that evangelists in their lofty position, pastors or a ministries have been given a certain leeway with personal sin because of their importance God and to the body of Christ. How many times have I been told that God winks at their adulteries, winks at their fornications, winks at them embezzling their ministries and robbing churches, winks at their drug use, winks at their love of the things of the world ie their loaded Lincolns, their Leer jets, their portfolio of houses and lands.

It has been repeatedly espoused that these men and women are under "great pressure", greater than mere mortals like you and I, and because of the great work they are doing that they are not to be judged by their peers or have these behaviors misconstrued as their disqualification for ministry.

This my friends does not stand up to the scrutiny of scripture. And all those that would knowing participate in such corrupt ministries by giving them illegal tithes, and illegal offerings, and go to their meetings, are acting as their enablers and therefore they shall be made partakers of their sins.

Ezekiel 21:24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

Here Ezekiel is not speaking of the lifestyle of the Apostles where their sins were ever before the frontlets of their eyes and they lived in a perpetual state of repentance – (No commiting any of the sins unto death) and in so doing they found great grace in the eyes of the Lord. Ezekiel is speaking of the haughty, arrogant, and stiff-necked who say I have no sin I am righteous and holy and therefore I have no need of repentance.  This is speaking of a building up of sin upon sin until God can no longer stand it.

Hosea 9:9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore He will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins (upon them).

This severe judgement is triggered by beleivers committing sins unto death. -- As in Saul, As in Eli) David paid a terrible price for the sins unto death -- but was able once more to be able to find grace in the eye of the Lord. 08/07

Revelation 18:5 (Speaking of the Great Whore) For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Here we have (Talmudic Judaism, Talmudic Christianity and the Talmudic Governments of the words wrapped up all together in the figure of) the Great Whore and her daughters, which God can no longer abide the stench of their sins upon the earth and He calls in judgment, and the blotting of her and her daughters sins is revoked and all remembrance of all her sins and corruptions past and present are brought forth for her to make a full accounting of and a full restitution unto her and her daughters own eternal death and eternal damnation.

Let us now look once more at this passage.

This is by far the greatest promise and gift of Christ to those that yet live and love Him.  He promised this to the twelve Apostles and we have attested to their humble walks and the workings of God in their lives to the end that they lived holy and righteous before the Lord. So where was great a promise fulfilled? Who entered into this manifest presence where Jesus revealed himself and the father to them?

Many would point to Acts 2:4 the indwelling of the Spirit, because Christ was speaking in the verse previous of the Comforter (Paraclete) coming and taking up His abode in those that love Christ and keep His commandments.

While there was a physical manifestation visible to the eye and the senses on the day of Pentecost, that was in no wise equivalent to when Moses said: Manifest yourself to me and God responded by saying: I shall cause my goodness to pass before thee and declare the name of the Lord that stands before you.

So where then is the outworking of this promise? Was it ever fulfilled, and if so to whom?

It was fulfilled with John the beloved disciple of the Lord and the appearing of Christ and the Father resulted in the Book of Revelation – It is the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals himself and the Father clearly to John and they presumably take up a greater abode with John in a greater fashion than what happened to John in Acts 2:4

With John a certain specious argument can be made that this visitation of Christ only came about because he had personally been with Christ from the beginning. And that he had been set apart by Christ when Christ said to Peter what is it to thee if I let John live forever.

But Christ manifesting Himself and the Father in the book of Revelation is not the only fulfillment of this in the New Testament.  Christ also manifested himself and revealed the Father to another – Paul the Apostle.

2 Corinthians 12:1-7 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.  And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Over the years I have heard very little said about 2 Corinthians 12:1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.  Since I have been a young believer “revelations” have been limited to passages in the word of God. yet Christ promised that he would manifest or reveal himself and the Father to those that love him and keep His commandments.

A better rendering of the Greek here reads:  To boast indeed is not profitable for me, For I will come to visions and  revelations of the Lord.

It should be somewhat shocking that Paul speaks of Visions, and Christ manifesting himself to the Apostle as an inevitability. And that Paul boasting of such things would only become a hindrance

A hindrance of what receiving more visions and revelations of the Lord. For the Lord will not share his glory with another.

2 Corinthians 12:1-7 To boast indeed is not profitable for me, For I will come to visions and  revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard (And saw) unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.  And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations (of Christ), there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the Angel of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Such an one caught up to the third heaven. He was caught up into paradise, and heard (And saw) unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

This is where Jesus manifested himself and showed Paul the Father.

Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory,

Paul says he will glory in one receiving visions and revelations of Christ – but he will not exalt himself or his ministry. The significance of this is that Paul did not speak of this being exclusive to him but by him boasting of such a one obtaining so great a grace he implying that Christ Manifesting himself to individuals is open for others to obtain as well.

Lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations (of Christ), there was given to me.  Paul is telling us that the Lord has revealed himself to him on multiple occasions as Christ did with John in the book of revelation.  And Paul implies that it is inevitable that Christ will continue to reveal himself to the Apostle.  It appears that the magnitude of the revelations of Christ to Paul was so great that to prevent Paul from becoming corrupted God sent angels of Satan to buffet him. And it would seem in Paul’s own testimony that he had a far less than stellar opinion of Peter and the other disciples as to the quality of their duties as Apostles.

1 Corinthians 15:7-9 After that, Christ was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all Christ was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

And last of all Christ manifested himself to me – The Greek reads a bit different Paul is not saying he was born in due time but that he was one that had been born out of season. The meaning of that is that Paul is saying that felt he belonged in some other time.

It appears that Paul felt drawn by the end time, where he knew the greatest need would be, when the Church had lost its way and no longer knew the truth.

By what Christ wrought in Paul by His appearings, we know that the Lord is going to bring someone forth like unto Paul the Apostle with revelations of Christ, with all manner of signs and all wonders.

This was prophesied by the prophet Zechariah that there would be a coming one to prepare the church for Christ’s return.  Zechariah identifies this one as Zerubbabel – “One who is born in Babylon.” And he shall have a plumb line in his hand and he shall restore the foundations of the Church and say this is the way, walk ye in it.

Christ manifesting himself to individuals in this corrupt and dark hour is not some light thing. It is a necessity if there are any that are to be saved in these last days.

Leviticus 9:5-7 And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD. And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you. And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

My spirit leaped when I read Moses saying: “This is the thing” This was the instruction manual on how to get the glory of the Lord to appear.  Notice first and foremost that there was to be sin offerings burnt offerings and atonement made for the priests and then for the people. This speaks of a whole lot of repentance. And in the ensuing verses they get to it, hours and hours of sacrifices and cleansings and when everything that can be cleansed was finally cleaned . . .

Leviticus 9:22-24 And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings. And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

Repentance and cleansing brought the Glory of the Lord not singing worship and offerings  and when all that God had commanded was fully done .  .  .  The Lord came. The Lord appeared the Lord manifested himself.

Psalm 102:16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.

Repentance and cleaning bring the Glory of the Lord, and the Glory of the Lord brings the equipping of the saints. The task before us is plain who among you I willing then with their whole heart seek the Lord until they receive full cleansing?

Isaiah 4:4-6 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. 5And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.  6And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

This passage is speaking of a significant change from the tabernacle of Moses where there was a cloud by day and a flame of fire by night to everyone that dwells on Zion and when they assemble themselves together that each believer is to have there own cloud by day and there own flame of fire by night. This is what Paul termed as the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Isaiah 40:4-6 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 5And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

The Glory of the Lord shall be made manifest to see to touch and handle – this is beyond the testimony of John the Apostle: “That which we have seen which out hands have handled concerning the word of life that speak we unto you.”  This is God reaching out himself and manifesting himself.

Isaiah 65:1 I became manifest (I manifested myself) to those that asked not for me. I was found of those who sought me not.  I said behold I am here to a nation that called not on my name.

What is wrong with the current doctrine of the manifest presence of God that is preached is that the manifest presence of God is spoken of in terms of “a sensing of God’s presence” – essentially leaving it in the realm of the unseen that can be discerned by a special few that have had there senses exercised. The manifest presence of God in no way resembles that at all, for it is the full bodily appearance of Christ, where if necessary one can stick their fingers inside Christ’s wounds and thrust their hand in his side. And the increase in size and scope until as the prophet declares “And all flesh shall see it together.”

Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

In this Psalm David was not seeking some blessing from God. The word “goodness” refers in the KJV to what God said to Moses that He would cause his goodness to pass before him.

David is saying quite plainly here: I could not have sustained myself unless I believed that God would physically manifest himself to me while I yet lived in the flesh. Because this is written in past tense David implies that this had been fulfilled in his life that God did manifest himself to David even though it is not recorded in scripture.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, (Be made manifest unto you) if thou seek Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
