The Corrupting of the
Soul
I woke up with a dream
--something that was a dark saying something that was
hard to be uttered and it had to do with prayer and how God
views our corrupt prayers. We speak words to God and hold up
our empty cups of need. but our words do not match the need
they are instead words of want of the soul, words of vanity,
vain babblings and repetitions in the hope that but our much
speaking that God will hear us. And by hearing we mean that
God will obey us and grants us our wants.
But the Lord is holy and will not hear the
prayer of the corrupt. But there is one who hears the cry of
the corrupt, and is all too willing to grant you your darkest
desires.
Likewise God will not grant prayers that contain
the lusts of the human heart, specifically to lift you up in
the eyes of the brethren, to exalt you before men, to grant
you what your covetous heart and eyes desires from others and
the world. God will
not grant your prayers when they are used to justify yourself,
your teachings, and your doctrines.
It is the very nature of corrupt men that upon the smallest
answer to prayer to say see: I prayed and DID THAT. I fasted
and DID THAT, I was healed and therefore that means -- things.
When a miracle or the power of God comes in
a sovereign act, the scribes, the lawyers, and the faith Pharisees
come out in force. To ascribe meaning to this working of God.
For without their naming it, and without their putting their
corrupt hand mark all over it, how then shall they be able to
claim ownership of it. They
seek to quantify the unquantifiable. To measure the immeasurable.
To make patterns of the unpatternable. And in so doing they
see to measure it against what they teach and believe. Not to
correct themselves in any of their errors, not to bring themselves
or their disciples to a place of repentance that they might
be changed but they do this to justify themselves and what they
already teach and believe. Ultimately they desire has been o
reproduce this sign wonder or diverse miracle at their beck
and call for their ministry, – And they seek to do this in and
of themselves without God.
And as a hard-hearted and stiff-necked people
who are always given to idolatry, we seek these patterns.
We seek these doctrines of men. We seek these boastful
men and their vainglorious ministries, and we seek to disciple
ourselves after them. And we eulogize and praise these corrupt
men and their ministries, and we shower these carnal men with
our tithes offerings and gifts in hopes of turning their heads.
And all too many times we are successful, and we have reaped
what we have sown In
stead of being made partakers of that glories and power of that
ministry, we have indeed become partakers but not of that which
can be seen, we have become partakers of their sin and iniquity
for we have become their enablers and fed their eyes of lust
and avarice We have
enabled them through our giving to corrupt others, locally ,
over the radio waves, on television, and in evangelistic meets
in foreign lands for what they preach is not the Gospel of the kingdom but their own Gospel that lifts up and exalts them
and their ministry for
they indeed do come in their own name and Christ warned
of this: And him will ye hear and follow after.
This stiff necked and idolatrous generation
is guilty of worshiping anything that the creator created rather
than Him alone. We worship any that claim they were healed,
and delivered that we by any means might receive a portion of
that which they were touched with. We worship buildings, places
were events took place, we talk up revivals long past so that
by any means we might be receive some portion of what once was
in that pace of from that source. We worship our worship and
we worship the angel of His presence for the same reason – We
make the glory of God an unclean thing, we take it touch it
and corrupt it. For in it we never come to the Lord. Our incurable
wound is never healed, we are not changed. Jesus Said when I would have gathered
you as chicks you would not.
And in these meetings it is that He came unto his own and His own received him not. Instead they rejoice only
for a season in the light 2-3 hours in a meeting and
then they walk away. Know that God is not mocked, for this generation
comes to me with their lips but their heart is far from me.
Colossians
2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in
a voluntary humility and worshipping
of angels (Messengers men, from
heaven, or even the
angel of his presence), intruding into those things which
he hath not seen, (This is the opposite of that which we have seen and our hands have handled)
vainly
puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Lamentations
2:22 Thou
hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that
in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained:
those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.
Those that
do partake, those that have soiled their garments in order to
partake of this corruption shall be destroyed.
Hosea
2:10-12 And
now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers,
and none shall deliver her out of mine hand. 11I
will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her
new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. 12And
I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath
said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and
I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall
eat them.
This is spoken of this the Klesia
of this generation and the coming generation. This is spoken
of our day.
For
in vain do their worship me.
I loath their sacrifices and offerings, I loath their
solemn meetings when they cry I shall not hear.
We with our mouths eulogize pastors, ministries,
and ourselves boasting of their gifts and ministries as if the
power of God were their own.
John
15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and
I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
without me ye can do nothing.
We sin with our lips when we praise
and eulogize these carnal pastors, ministries, and we do so
as well when give testimony and take unto ourselves the glory
that is due to God alone , by ascribing the acts as if their
originated from ourselves as if they happened because of our
prowess with God, as if their happened because of our fasting
and praying, our because some holiness we think we possess.
Judge ye, who is greater the one who
asks or the one who has the power to fulfill? Is therefore the
one who prays, the one who fasts, the one who is touched worthy
of praise and adoration?
What
is being said is that by the work of their soul these men and
ministries in and of of themselves have produced the power of
God. And when we praise them of with lips
-- we do worship. When we bear about their words and
testimonies we are their disciples. And when we support in prayer,
fasting, and with our corrupt mammon and there fore have we
become their enablers and we therefore become partakers in their
sins.
But there is one that is only too happy to grant you the lusts
of your heart even the one who spoke with Eve in the garden.
Most believers are conflicted as they pray,
as they worship, as they confess with their lips, and as they
tithe and give offerings. The confliction comes from many fronts.
Our hearts condemn us. The Spirit of God strives with us and our corrupt
soul keeps speaking the corruption that is hidden in our hearts.
Conflicted when we pray our soul speaks something
different than what we want to pray or confess before God. God sees and here’s this. When we stand there and try to confess
ourselves into something that we are not, our soul speaks something
different than what we are confessing. We are supposed to confess
the truth, that which our eyes have seen that which our hands
have handled and instead we try to use our lips to try reform
the clay that we are into that which we are not.
We have come with a new level of sin beyond
that of our fathers – for they cried out to the potter why have
you made us thus – angering the lord. But this generation seeks
now as the clay to form themselves and imbue themselves with
gifts ministries so that they can receive the worship of men,
and make themselves wealthy. This is the way of darkness. This
is the way of death.
Proverbs 8:34-36 Blessed is the man
that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the
posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall
obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul:
all they that hate me love death.
Proverbs 24:12 If thou sayest,
Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart
consider it? and He that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not
he render to every man according to his works?
Psalm 106:12-15 Then believed
they his words; they sang his praise. They soon forgat his works;
they waited not for his counsel: But lusted exceedingly in the
wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. And he gave them their request;
but sent leanness into their soul.
Psalm 107:5
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Numbers 30:2
If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his
soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according
to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
Psalm 41:4 I
said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal
my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
