New Wine

I was privileged, in 1958, to be in the presence of a major visitation in which there was visible glory – visible to the physical eye - glory visibly moving mightily. There was a fountain of “new wine” that was there. You could see it in the spirit and enter into it. This fountain of new wine was one hundred proof. (proof - standard strength or quality or alcoholic content OR spirit content!) (could you describe what you saw in the spirit?)

We have touches of it today that are maybe only about ten, fifteen or twenty proof. It affects you. I am probably functioning at ten or fifteen proof and I am saying, Lord, I want the hundred proof. I am believing Lord to go beyond where I am. I desire that impartation.

“New wine” – “Be not drunk with wine where in is excess,” that is the worldly counterfeit. But there is a real “wine of the Spirit.” The real wine of the Spirit releases us from our human inhibitions. It actually produces a release in us and gives us a boldness and an ability to function.

It is a divine enabling, an empowering that releases us. It is very real and very powerful and it abides. When you have been touched by it, it stays with you, it lingers, and it abides. Once you have received it, you can impart it to others, because you will have it within you.

What we are getting today is about (less than what is available)ten to twenty proof. I was blessed and experienced (the fullness)one hundred proof. It removes the inhibitions, the fears, and enables us with a boldness to function, to move, and that is the purpose of it. It has a purpose - it will take us beyond the human limitations that we all feel.

I believe that this world is going to receive a witness of the Lord beyond anything they have ever seen. There is a last day visitation, an empowering and instead of the Lord literally sneaking the church out, I believe that He is going to empower a body of people that He can trust with that – that will not exploit to their own advantage, but it is going to become a witness to the world beyond anything the world has ever seen. That hasn’t happened yet. It is going to.

I believe that we are living in the time when we are being made ready – when the capacity for that is being developed within us.

Therefore, it is very important that we feel, that we are touched by the presence of God. Every time we are touched by the presence of God, we receive some new wine. We are touched, we become more sensitive, and more open. It releases a desire within us – our capacity is enlarged and we are drawing closer and the door is beginning to open wider.
