Fall
2000
Dear Friends,
Pinecrest Bible Training Center was founded by my father
thirty-two years ago, to be a place where the Lord could have
His way. Our purpose is to raise up people to hear the Lord’s
voice, and be available for His end-time purposes.
The Banner is one of five expressions of the ministry of
Pinecrest. This quarterly devotional is intended to challenge
its readers to a deeper, personal, more intimate relationship
with our Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing about Him, and serving
Him are necessary first steps, but He desires to call us “friends.”
Pinecrest Press not only prints the Banner, but also other
publications such as Secret of the Stairs and Waterspouts
of Glory. The print shop, as well as our guest services for
our conferences and conventions provides employment for many
of our students, so they can work their way through school.
The Bible School program emphasizes knowing Jesus Christ
in a very personal way. Students learn more than events and
places. They learn to appreciate the manifest presence of
the Lord, and also learn to apply Biblical principals to their
daily living. In addition to our two and three year diploma
programs, a short term, sixteen week certificate program is
available.
We also have a fourth year degree program for full, or part-time
study. Completion of our entire program is accepted by Canada
Christian College as meeting their requirements for a Bachelor
of Theology degree.
Our guest rooms are available to those who desire to develop
a deeper relationship with the Lord, so they can come aside
for a refreshing time in His presence for a weekend, or longer.
Conventions are held on each of the major holidays, except
Christmas and New Years. These begin on a Thursday evening,
and continue through Sunday Morning.
Our Summer Bible Conference provides an opportunity for those
who desire to be in a Bible School atmosphere, but are unable
to attend, to do so during the month of July, each year. Four
one-week sessions, provide a meaningful vacation opportunity
to attend morning Bible classes and evening services with
a special theme. Children's programs are provided during this
time, making it an especially enjoyable time for families.
Youth week is usually the first week in August, and provides
a powerful time for teenagers to meet the Lord.
Pinecrest Missions send teams of faculty and students to countries
such as Peru, Kenya, Ghana, India, Bolivia, and Jamaica. Students
from many disadvantaged countries are also accepted for study
at Pinecrest, when they make a commitment to minister in their
native country upon graduation.
The Pinecrest Ministerial Fellowship provides license and
ordination to ministers of the Gospel who desire the benefits
of fellowship and accountability with like-minded ministers.
The Fellowship hosts semi-annual meetings at Pinecrest in
October and May.
As you can see, Pinecrest is a many faceted ministry with
an international outreach. When you support Pinecrest, you
are sowing seed into good ground, and will reap a bountiful
harvest (II Corinthians 9:10).
Would you consider becoming a Pinecrest Partner by sending
at least $25 each month, so this vital ministry can continue
to train others to be available to the Lord for His purposes?
Thank you, and may our Lord bless you!
