Dear
Friends,
When the Lord speaks to us, His voice forms deep within our
being, and then gradually works its way up through us, expanding
into our understanding as it moves.
The word that I am presently hearing is “intercession.”
I am looking to the Lord, not only to use me in this very
special ministry, but also to expand my understanding concerning
the purpose and value of intercession.
One of the primary thoughts that is forming within is the
concern of the Lord, that the ministry of intercession is
much under-valued in the Church. Recently, I have witnessed
several ministries that have a “team” of intercessors
who specifically pray for that ministry. The results are very
evident.
Many in the Body of Christ who feel that they have no ministry,
or are seeking to know what their ministry might be, have
their focus set on the pulpit or some visible ministry. But
a far greater ministry is available to them, if they would
but ask.
The burden that I have is that there might be a multitude
of “John the Baptists” in this day who can say
as John said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness.”
This is an intercessory voice that is presently seeking those
through whom it might find its expression and outworking.
This intercessory ministry burden, which is vital to the
present day purposes of the Lord, is to “prepare the
way of the Lord” concerning all that is about to take
place. The Lord is seeking those who will receive this intercessory
burden as their ministry.
It is my prayerful desire that this issue of the Banner will
lift each person who reads within, into a higher place of
relationship with the Lord. Also, when the Lord knocks on
the door of your heart, that this issue of the Banner will
have so stirred you, that you will both hear and willingly
respond.
As you prayerfully read, ask the Lord to make the message
a reality within your spiritual experience.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support of this ministry.
Without your help, it would not be possible to print and mail
the Banner.
May our Lord richly bless and prosper you in all that is
before you.
