Pinecrest Bible Training Center
1968-2008

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone.

Beginning in 2008 the vision and bible school that God so graciously gave Wade Taylor beginning in 1968 came to an abrupt end, falling into the ground and dying.

We now wait for God to raise up and bring forth His seed of promise in another, that the vision fail not.

After Sharon Titian, of Titian Ministries, shared her two-part vision, the Lord called my husband and me to go to Ghana with her.

The first part of her vision involves setting free the girls who were slaves in the fetish system of Tro-kosi. Through the years, the Lord has led Sharon to confront this system, which was recently declared to be illegal. She now has a vocational school for these girls.

The second part of her vision is to establish a School of the Spirit, so those who are called by the Lord can become better prepared. This school will be patterned after Pinecrest, with the emphasis on developing a personal relationship with the Lord, and in making room for His presence and for the moving of the Holy Spirit.

Presently, David is there, helping to build the school building. I will join him in August, and we will work together to establish the school. As we take this "Yes Lord" step, our obedience will become the enabling, as the Lord’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Sharon shared that years ago she had come to Pinecrest with a desire to take part in the studies, but instead the Lord sent her to Ghana. The life she has lived in Ghana during these years exemplifies the vision of Pinecrest. Each morning, she prays and waits to receive the Lord's instruction for that day. As the Lord spoke to her through His Word and she responded in obedience, the enemy was defeated.

This is a life of unquestioning obedience. When we know that we have heard from the Lord, we must say, "Yes Lord, by your grace, I will obey." In the Old Testament, the Israelites were trained to be led by His presence. This was done through the cloud by day, and the pilar of fire by night. They were told by the Lord to stay when these stayed, and move with them, as they moved.

They had told Moses, "All that the Lord has commanded, we will do." But they did not obey. In the New Covenant, the Lord has placed His Spirit within us, to enable us to obey.

“And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you
to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments,
and do them.” Ezek 36:27.

Today, there is a spiritual governmental authority being established within a committed people, by which the powers of darkness are being brought down and governments are being affected. It is no coincidence that a School of the Spirit is being established in Ghana, now that this fetish system was struck down by the government.

We are called to make a difference on the earth, as His power is released in and through our lives. An airplane begins its journey on the ground, but there is a point at which it is lifted into the air and a new set of rules apply. So also, the Lord has called Pinecrest to be a "School of the Spirit." Much can be learned through that which scholars have written. But there is another dimension that lifts us from the bookshelves into the dimension where His Spirit moves in and through our lives.

The Word tells us that in the end-time, there will be unrestrained evil and intense darkness upon the earth. But there is a people upon whom the glory of God will be seen, who will rise above principalities and powers where they will rule and reign with the Lord. The Lord will use these to bring down evil, through an authority that can only come from an experiential understanding of the Lord.

As we learn to draw on His strength and walk in communion with Him, the gates of hell will not prevail. The Lord has already won the victory. Now He is calling us to be partakers together with Him to possess all He has gained.

I ask your prayer support that this may become a reality in Ghana through our lives and ministry, as we step out in obedience to His calling.
