The
Restoration of His Glory
Wade E Taylor
The turmoil that is in the world will increase as the age
in which we live is about to be closed. This is not the end
of things, but rather the end of things as they have been.
Something far better is about to come. This is the Theocratic
Millennial Kingdom of God which will result in righteousness,
peace, and joy, that will replace the present turmoil that
fills the earth.
Isaiah saw this in prophetic vision.
"He who smote the people in wrath with a continual
stroke,
he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and
none hindereth. The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet:
they break forth into singing" Isa 14:6-7.
This speaks of Satan being bound during this thousand year
millennial period of time. At this present time, those who
have made the Lord truly the Lord of their lives, and have
submitted all to Him, are being prepared for their part in
this time of transition.
"Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory
of
the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness
shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people:
but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall
be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy
light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising" Isa
60:1-3.
The Word tells us that we are in the world, but that we are
not a part of the present world system. We are a redeemed,
new creation that is in the process of being qualified as
"Overcomers" for a higher Kingdom. No matter how
bad things may be, or how dark it may get in the world, it
is becoming brighter for those upon whom His glory is being
restored, in this last day visitation.
Those who have fully, unconditionally, submitted their lives
to the Lord are being dealt with more deeply than ever before.
In this, the time of the closing out of the Church age, there
is to be an expression of the coming Kingdom within us. We
will never be qualified to rule with the Lord in His Kingdom,
until He has first ruled within our lives.
The Lord is preparing overcomers whom He can trust with authority.
"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy
to
take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou
wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood
out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we
shall reign on the earth" Rev 5:9-10.
In past generations, many have received a measure of spiritual
authority, but none came to the fullness that the Lord intends
to impart in our day and time.
Martin Luther in his day restored the Pastor. John Wesley
restored the Teacher. The Baptist movement, the Evangelist.
The present Pentecostal movement began on New Years eve, 1900,
in a small Bible School in Topeka Kansas. Forty years later,
in the mid 1940's, through the Later Rain visitation, the
Prophetic office was restored to the Body of Christ.
In the mid 1980's the Charismatic visitation began. During
each of these previous times of divine intervention, a ministry
office was restored, within a predictable time frame. Thus,
during the Charismatic visitation, the Apostolic office should
have been restored.
However, during this time of visitation, the ministry stayed
in the realm of prosperity, gifts, and blessings, and failed
to submit to a deep inner working of "The Holy Spirit
and fire." Apostolic impartation requires a visitation
of the Lord which reveals His resurrection glory. This can
only follow a deep inner working of the Holy Spirit in cleansing
fire.
All that took place in the Charismatic visitation was wonderful,
but the intent of the Lord was to lead it into a visitation
of glory that would result in the restoration of Apostolic
authority in the Church.
John the Baptist said,
"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance.
But He that cometh after me is mightier than I,
whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall
baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire."
"Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly
purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the
garner; but He will burn up the chaff with
unquenchable fire" Matt 3:11-12.
This "fire" is His Shekinah glory restored in the
Church. It is like a mirror in which we see ourselves, which
will cause us to deeply repent and be changed. It is only
in this state of repentance that we receive the covering of
glory that will enable us to see the Lord in His resurrection
glory. This is the covering that Adam lost when he said he
was naked.
This is the end-time change that is about to take place within
the church that should have happened in the Charismatic visitation.
This change will result in a restoration of spiritual (Apostolic)
authority within the Church.
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same
image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit
of the Lord" II Cor 3:18.
