The
Open Book
Paul Caram
"And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words
are closed up and sealed till the time of the
end" Daniel 12:9.
Our introductory verse from Daniel plainly tells us that
many things are to remain concealed until the end of the Church
age, but in Revelation 22:10, the prophet says, "Seal
not the sayings of the prophecy of this Book; for the time
is at hand." Daniel, and the book of Revelation, are
beginning to open, as we are living in the time of the end.
Truly, we are a privileged people, for we are the generation
that lives in the "time of the end," when these
things will be unsealed. The majority of the things that are
written in the Book of Revelation will be fulfilled in our
lifetime. We will not only see them happen, we will actually
fulfill many of these Scriptures.
"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming
of the Lord ..." I Thess 4:15a.
This verse is written to those in the Church who will be
alive at the time of the Lord's coming. There is a "present
word" within the "written word" that is being
opened to us, today.
"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that you may know the hope of His calling" Eph 1:18.
The Lord longs to reveal Himself to us, in a very new and
intimate way. After His resurrection, he gestured to His disciples,
"handle me." On the road to Emmaus, He revealed
to the two discouraged disciples "all things concerning
Himself."
If Jesus opened the Scriptures to them, how much more will
He open them to us, for we are living in the time of the end
when the outworking of every vision is at hand.
It has not entered into the heart of man the great things
which the Lord has prepared for them that love Him. With the
"Book" being opened in these last days, we not only
will have an understanding of things to come, but we will
have a far greater understanding of the Lord Himself, for
the Scriptures testify of Him.
"O Lord, open the book (to me) and loose the seals thereof
that I might better know you, and become a part of that which
you are doing in the earth. Amen."
