Dear Friends of Pinecrest,

One of Paul's prayers applies to those who are presently being moved upon and stirred by the Holy Spirit. This prayer can be found in Ephesians 1:17-18. "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you a Spirit of wisdom and understanding in gaining a personal knowledge of Him, the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know "

This is the heart and intention of the ministry of the Banner. I seek for and appreciate your interest and prayers, that this message may continue to touch hearts and lives. The letters I receive are very encouraging concerning this.

A Church is made up of those who attend and give in its support. The congregation of Pinecrest consists of those who are students, attend the conferences, or come as visitors, along with those who receive the Banner. The income that is received from students and visitors alone does not supply adequate funds for the continuation of this ministry.

Above all else, we are dependent on the Lord, but we look to Him to supply these needs through those who receive the Banner. Many of these are faithfully supporting the ministry of Pinecrest. To each of you who are doing so, thank you from the very depths of my being. Your gifts are very much needed and appreciated.

To the many of you who are not giving in support of the ministry of the Banner and of Pinecrest, please prayerfully consider doing so. We are continually short of the necessary funds to maintain this ministry. We are able to continue only due to much sacrifice. There is an urgent need for an increase in the number of those who support the ministry of the Banner, and the Bible School.

Thank you for your kind consideration of this need. I trust that this issue of the Banner will be a blessing to you, and that it will truly have a part in the "eyes of your heart being opened to spiritual truth," and that our Lord will make Himself more fully known to you in this new year.
