1968-2008

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone.

Beginning in 2008 the vision and bible school that God so graciously gave Wade Taylor beginning in 1968 came to an abrupt end, falling into the ground and dying.

We now wait for God to raise up and bring forth His seed of promise in another, that the vision fail not.

Dear Friends,

Jesus said, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said to you, you must be born again" John 3:6-7.

Jesus is clearly making a distinction between that which the human can produce, the intellectual and social, and is saying that a person must be birthed up into this realm, and that He is offering that which is spiritual.

Thus, only the presence of the Lord can lead to a greater presence of the Lord. The purpose of a ministry should be to lift an individual, or congregation, up from the natural realm into the spiritual. This requires a spiritual sensitivity and willingness to turn aside from the earthly, to the heavenly. Only then will He be able to "show us the things which must be hereafter" (Rev 4:x).

The ministry of Pinecrest, and of the Banner, is to "prepare the way of the Lord, and to make His paths straight" (John 1:23). That is, to stir the spirits of those who desire this birthing into His higher presence and purpose, that they might "rise up with Him and come away" (SS 2:10).

It is my desire and intention that each article in each issue of the Banner will have a part in lifting us from the letter of the Word into the Spirit, that the desire of the Lord to have a people who know His presence and voice will have its full outworking.

To those of you who have been faithfully supporting the ministry of Pinecrest, thank you. If you are not doing so, please prayerfully consider becoming a supporter of this ministry.

If you know others who you feel would appreciate the Banner, please send their name and they will receive the Banner. Paper and Postage are very expensive. If you do not desire to receive the Banner, please let me know.

May our Lord meet you and draw you closer to Himself through this issue of the Banner.
