A Present Word
Wade E Taylor
At this present time, we are being prepared for a further,
deeper move of the Holy Spirit. As we rend our hearts in submission,
and purify our souls in consecration, this time of preparation
will become productive; and we will experience a more personal
manifestation of His presence, and a fuller understanding
of His working.
The Lord would have His body healed and whole. Only then
will He be released to move in manifested signs and wonders,
as He desires.
As we seek the Lord with our whole heart and draw closer
to Him, He will draw closer to us. We are to enter our closets
and shut ourselves in with Him, so He might deal with us.
Here, we are to be honest before Him, no longer walking in
denial.
"For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and
scourgeth every son whom He receiveth" Heb 12:6.
As we listen and obey, He will purify our motives and cleanse
us from the disappointments and hurts which have crept in
over many years, and have limited our spiritual power and
effectiveness in witness and ministry. He will create within
us an enlarged sensitivity to His presence, and begin to make
Himself more fully known to us.
As we become sensitive to His voice and begin to intently
listen, we will hear His "present word," which is
going forth to those who have an ear to hear.
"After this I looked, and, behold, a door
was opened in heaven: and the first voice
which I heard was as it were of a trumpet
talking with me; which said, Come up hither,
and I will shew thee things which must be
hereafter" Rev 4:1.
Then we will be able to enter that cooperative relationship
with Him, in which He can use us to accomplish His purpose.
