1968-2008

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone.

Beginning in 2008 the vision and bible school that God so graciously gave Wade Taylor beginning in 1968 came to an abrupt end, falling into the ground and dying.

We now wait for God to raise up and bring forth His seed of promise in another, that the vision fail not.

The Week of Prayer is a special set apart time during the first week of each New Year. All classes are cancelled and the week is spent in the Chapel seeking and waiting upon the Lord. Many of the visitors who came to be here during this special week testified that they had a personal meeting with the Lord.

A brokenness of spirit was evident as the Lord brought many to a deeper level of commitment. A spirit of intercession for the Nations moved upon us in an unusual way. Especially toward the end of the week, the Lord manifestly met us, and all were brought closer to the Lord.

Some individuals, and several groups of students are making missionary trips during March and April. This includes a trip to Kenya and Uganda. Also, a group under the direction of Dr Forde is going to Jamaica and Cuba. These are going with great anticipation. Also, a men's meeting held in a local restaurant recently was well attended. Many students travel to Churches in an ongoing out-station ministry and the reports of their ministry has been encouraging.

The MEMORIAL DAY Convention will be May 26-29. This convention is always a special blessing. If you plan to attend this, or the July 4th Convention, please be sure to call or write soon to make your room reservations.

Recently, two different Church leaders came to Pinecrest with a group from their Church for a Retreat. This was a very special time for each one who came. We encourage other Churches to bring a group to Pinecrest for a special retreat.

As we begin the fourth quarter of this school year, there is a special sense of the presence of the Lord in the Chapel and classes. Much has been accomplished within lives during this school year. This transformation is very evident in the spiritual atmosphere on the campus. We are thankful also for each of the several new students who came each quarter this year. It is a blessing to see these quickly fit in and feel "at home" in a short time.

We trust you will visit, or come to stay for a term or more as a student in the days ahead. Call or write the Registrar, Maureen Garret. She will be a great help in answering questions and in praying with you for direction.

Pinecrest, in each part of its life and ministry is intended to be a blessing and help to you in whatever way may be possible. If you know others who would appreciate receiving the Banner, please send their names and addresses.

May our Lord bless you and truly meet with you during this Spring and Summer.
