The "Summer Bible School Term" for visitors during
the month of July was very well attended. There was an exceptional
moving of the Holy Spirit during this time. We are still rejoicing
over all that was accomplished in the lives of those who came.
These four weeks in July have become a highlight in all that
Pinecrest offers. The Lord is speaking that we are to encourage
visitors to come during the school year to attend chapel services
and classes. Those who come may stay for as short, or as long
as they are able to arrange. You are encouraged to take advantage
of this opportunity.
Again, a large group of young (at heart) people have come
to Pinecrest for the school year which begins immediately
after the Labor Day weekend Conference. The student body is
made up of students of all ages. Many are retired and desire
to offer the remaining years of their lives to the Lord.
There is an unusual quality and seriousness in the student
body this year, as witnessed in their spiritual hunger and
desire to know and serve our Lord. Brother Taylor spoke in
one of the first chapel services of the ways the Lord has
been moving among us, as well as in many other places. He
spoke of the necessity of becoming sensitive and responsive
to the moving of the Holy Spirit. There are many indications
that the Lord is about to move in a new and special way.
The school year is divided into four quarters of nine weeks
each. The first quarter will end on November 5th. If you are
interested in becoming a student, write to the registrar for
information.
The next conference is Thanksgiving weekend. Since space
is limited, please write or call early for reservations.
Dr Forde, a teacher at Pinecrest, along with a group of students
recently returned from Africa where they ministered for one
month in Kenya and Uganda. Each of these experienced the Lord
in rich and meaningful ways that will be a part of their lives
for a long time.
There is a continuation of our efforts to make the accommodations
at Pinecrest as desirable as possible for all who come. We
encourage you to keep yourself open and available to the Lord
for all that He is doing among His people at this time. May
our Lord bless you.
