We are approaching the 3rd quarter of the school year. Looking
back, it can be seen that the Lord has been liberating us
in our spirits so we will be able to more fully respond to
Him as He brings us into spiritual maturity.
Pastors Joseph Neives and Ed Szumowski, who are teaching
during the second term, brought a spirit of expectation to
the school. There is among the students an excitement about
all that the Lord is doing. This is causing within each of
us a knowing that it was worth all it cost to come apart for
preparation to better know and serve the Lord.
The Lord is pouring out His Spirit in the Chapel and Classes
in a mighty way. It is wonderful to witness how the Lord is
touching the hearts and lives of each one. The Lord is moving
in each of our lives and setting us free in areas of bondage.
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be
free indeed" John 8:36.
The Lord is raising up intercessors throughout the campus.
There are groups and individuals praying everywhere. A 6 a.m.
prayer group meets each school morning in Wade Taylor's office.
The Lord's presence is very evident and He is answering prayer
in a tremendous way. Most great moves of God have been ushered
in with prayer. It is exciting to seethe Lord raising up so
many to pray. He is putting a deep spiritual hunger in our
hearts for more of Him.
Many of the students returned from the holiday break with
a testimony about how the Lord used them and was glorified
through their lives in ways they never thought possible. School
began again on January 6thwith the first week of the new year
set apart for serious prayer. These prayer meetings lasted
through the morning and evening of each day with many lives
being changed by the Lord. It was a very special time.
The three days of the Minister's meeting in November was
exceptionally good. Ministers from many States came to Pinecrest
for these meetings. Bill Pepper, from Alaska, and Wade Taylor
ministered. There was a strengthening of many ministries and
encouragement was imparted to all through the Word and the
Worship.
My husband, Howard, went home to be with the Lord October
12th. He was found to have prostate cancer a year ago. His
faith and attitude towards the Lord did not change one bit
during his illness. His greatest desire at all times was that
the will of the Lord be done.
A verse taken from his personal book of Scriptures was I
Cor 15:58,"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast,
unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as
much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
He loved Pinecrest deeply, and I believe he would have you
take this verse to your heart and be encouraged to press on,
for there is much to enter into.
There is a spiritual stirring within the hearts of the many
visitors whom the Lord brings to Pinecrest. This is a hunger
that He delights to fill. Guest rooms are available. Please
consider coming to Pinecrest for a visit and becoming a part
of all the Lord is doing. Many come to attend Chapels and
classes, and to spend time alone with the Lord. We have room
for you, and encourage you to come as often as you possibly
can
