Summer
1992
Dear Friends of Pinecrest,
In Phil 3:10, Paul expresses his desire to fully know and
serve His Lord. These are given in the progressive order in
which they developed in his spiritual experience; "Knowledge,
Power, and Fellowship."
Knowledge begins with information and ends in a personal
experiential knowing. Power begins with imparted spiritual
gifts and finds its fulfillment in a spiritual authority which
develops through experience. Fellowship begins with the Lord
meeting our needs, and matures with the Lord sharing His burdens
and intentions with us.
The outworking of this progression can be observed within
the Body of Christ. First, the "knowledge" of spiritual
things was very important. Then the "power-gifts"
became the center of interest. Now, many are seeking a deeper"
fellowship" with the Lord, and in response, He is separating
these unto Himself.
In each of these areas, there is an urgent need for further
development. This will happen as we enter into a deeper personal
experience, and cooperative fellowship with our Lord. Only
then will we be able to have a part with Him in the birthing
of the "new day" about to dawn out of the darkness
of our present day.
The Banner seeks to direct those who are presently being
"spiritually awakened" towards this deeper personal
relationship with our Lord. It is not enough to know about
Him. Nor is it enough to have gifts and ministries in operation
through us. We are being called in this present hour to experientially
know and walk with our Lord.
This Summer 1992 issue of the Banner is prayerfully sent
to you that you might more successfully become one of these
whom the Lord is calling into this higher place of identification
with Himself, and with His purposes.
I wish to personally thank each of you who have given towards
re-paying the loan for the printing press. If you have not
given towards this need, please prayerfully consider doing
so. A special letter is within this Banner concerning this.
Because most of the funds being received are going towards
paying for the printing press, we are considerably behind
in paying current bills. Also, soon a large order must be
placed for paper to print future issues of the Banner. I sincerely
ask your continued support in prayer, and with your gifts,
which make it possible to continue this ministry.
In His Love,
Wade E Taylor
