1968-2008

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone.

Beginning in 2008 the vision and bible school that God so graciously gave Wade Taylor beginning in 1968 came to an abrupt end, falling into the ground and dying.-

We now wait for God to raise up and bring forth His seed of promise in another, that the vision fail not.

Graduation for the class of 1991 was a blessed time. The two year Basic Bible course graduated 19; the Advanced Course graduated 13, a total of32 graduates. These varied in age from the twenties to past retirement age.

The class theme was "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING" John 15:5.

The words of one of the songs chosen to be sung are "I hear your voice calling after me; from deep within, my heart responds to thee; from deep within, my soul cries out for thee; O my Father, O Lord, here am I, speak to me." The intention of the Graduates to continue in their commitment to fully know and serve their Lord is beautifully expressed in the words of this song.

The following is taken from an article written for the Graduation program by one of the graduates. " But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day" Proverbs 4:18. "The dawning of the day begins while it is still dark, a blush that spreads across the horizon, then reaches to the highest peak of the sky. The dawn illuminates little by little all the treasures hidden by the night. Then comes the sun whose light enhances the world, and makes it sparkle in its presence. And such is the way of God in us. Throughout our life we are continually being washed in the light of Christ, which chases away the darkness from every corner of our being, bringing to light the wonderful treasures He has given us, and revealing what we are in Him. This is not a quick process, but one which, like the morning's dawn, slowly emerges into full view."

May each one of us be strengthened to meet each new day with an expectation born of the Holy Spirit, that even though this "process" is not quick, it will, if allowed, emerge into full view. The many changes in each life represented by this graduating class testifies that these words are true.

Some left to begin various areas of ministry; some remained to work at the school for the summer; others will return in the Fall to continue heir schooling. For each one, regardless of their direction, there was a settled faith that God is with them.

The Memorial Day weekend convention was a blessed time. Some of the speakers were Jack Buskey, Lionel Etwaru, and Wade Taylor. There is a prayer meeting at 9 AM each morning that is very special. The leading and coordination of the Holy Spirit among a large group, who had never been together before, was unusual. The worship and presence of the Lord in the services was outstanding.

There is a full schedule this summer here at Pinecrest - The July 4thconvention; four weeks of Summer Bible Conference; Youth week; and then the Former Student Reunion in August. Shortly after follows the Labor Day weekend convention. Then, the Fall Term of the Bible School will begin.

We invite each one of you to visit Pinecrest in the days that are before us, that we may enjoy the presence of the Lord together, in the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
