Pinecrest Bible Training Center
1968-2008

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone.

Beginning in 2008 the vision and bible school that God so graciously gave Wade Taylor beginning in 1968 came to an abrupt end, falling into the ground and dying.-

We now wait for God to raise up and bring forth His seed of promise in another, that the vision fail not.

The previous PC News letter ended by saying "This summer, there is a full schedule before us. This included the July 4th convention; 4 weeks of Summer Bible Conference; Youth week; Former Student reunion; and the Labor Day convention. And, following this the Fall term of Bible School began. The opportunity to partake of these ministries has passed by all too quickly.

Each of these summer ministries was outstanding due to the larger numbers who came and the clarity of the Lord ministering to His people. The July 4th and Labor Day conventions were larger than usual. The class rooms could hardly accommodate all who came for the Summer Bible School sessions. Also, we were almost filled to capacity for Youth Week.

All this has spoken to us that the Lord Himself is doing a marvelous work in many lives. He is creating spiritual hunger; a hunger to know Him and to walk with Him; a seeking to know His will and a greater understanding of His ways. There is an increasing, very evident desire to know the Lord and to enter into a spiritual pattern of life. We publicly thank the Lord for enabling us have a part in ministering to this hunger during the past summer, and now in the school year. We think of the Word in Acts 2, "The Lord added to the Church."

The Fall term of the Bible School has begun with an excellent group of quality students. The presence of the Lord is very evident in our Chapel services and in the classes. The students this year have aspiritual hunger and dedication that is a challenge to all of us here at Pinecrest that these may come into the fullness of all that they desire to receive from the Lord during this school year.

Also, if you would like to come to Pinecrest - at any time, and for any length of time - to sit in the Chapel services and classes, you are encouraged to come. Charles Haun, and Pastor Jay Francis are here forthis first quarter to teach. Both truly have a special touch of God upon their lives.

We also thank the Lord for all the permanent staff and faculty whose greatest desire is to make room for the Lord to be present, and to have His Way throughout the entire campus, as well as in the Chapel services and in the class rooms.

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." This is our prayerful desire, as we follow on to know the Lord. May our Lord bless each one of you as you read this issue of he Banner with His peace, as well as with an increase in your desire to better know our Lord.
