Fall
1991
Dear Friends,
This is the largest Banner that has ever been printed and
mailed. Also, it is being sent to the smallest number, since
we are continuing to delete the names of those we have not
heard from within the last few years.
I continue to receive a large number of letters from those
asking to be left on the Banner mailing list, and expressing
their appreciation of the Banner. This encourages me very
much. Along with this, I am feeling an increasing desire that
the Banner be made available to more who are searching for
spiritual truth and substance.
I have no way of knowing who these are. I am asking the Lord
to somehow cause many of these to become aware of the Banner.
I sincerely desire your help in enabling those who have made
a full commitment of their lives to the Lord, to become aware
of the Banner. We will send a copy of the current Banner to
anyone for whom it is requested.
This issue of the Banner follows the theme of Ministry. It
is not my intention to follow a particular theme, but rather
to offer a "balanced diet." However, there was clear
guidance in the preparation of this issue of the Banner centering
around differing aspects of ministry.
We are all called to a ministry. At the very foundation of
our salvation experience, our life style and attitudes are
a witness of, or a "ministry" of the power of the
Gospel to change lives. However, to all too many, their spiritual
experience can be likened to salt, which seasons whatever
it is put upon. The witness of their lives, and the expression
of the Gospel through them, is only as a "flavoring"
upon their own ways.
We are called to much more than this. This issue of the Banner
is dedicated to being a ministry of helping you find your
place of witness and function within the Body of Christ. It
is my prayer that this will be accomplished.
We continue to be dependent upon your support of this ministry.
Your prayer support and your gifts help to make all this possible.
Thank you for doing your part. I am looking forward to hearing
from you.
In His Love,
Wade E Taylor
