A New Consecration
Beaulah Skinner
"Then said I, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God"
Heb 10:7.
May the Lord enable the Spirit of Love to encourage those
who are in a low place, that they may be able to make a fresh
consecration to the Lord so that the Holy Spirit will have
entire possession of their being, and full dominion over every
circumstance in their lives.
The Holy Spirit not only has the power of chastening, but
He is the Spirit of Love who seeks to draw us to the Lord.
He broods over every aspect of life within those who have
unreservedly placed themselves in His hands.
We grieve the Holy Spirit when we allow our self life, and
our own will to have the place that the Lord desires the Holy
Spirit to have. This causes much feebleness and failure in
the Body of Christ. We who are in Christ Jesus are to claim
His Grace, and allow the mind of Christ to have control over
our lives.
As we bow down and worship before Him, giving up our self
life unto Him,t hat we might receive the mind of Christ, we
will find ourselves in the arms of Jesus. Our heart will become
His dwelling place, as He lives and works within us through
the Holy Spirit. The purpose of life cannot be found through
our self expression, but is revealed by Christ living within,
expressing His will and purpose through us. The measure of
Divine operation within us is the degree that our faith and
trust are in Him, alone.
Whatever we do must have a corresponding movement of Grace
from within thatwe might be enabled to do the will of the
Lord. It is the mastery of the Holy Spirit over our spirit
that enables us to burst forth from within, in a flash of
Divine power and anointing to give expression to His Word
and Love.
It is urgent that we place our life in His hands. Then,
we will be able to persistently and quietly maintain an attitude
of trustful confidence in His control over our lives.
Now our understanding will be able to lay hold of truth,
and abide in His presence.
