With Heart Unveiled

Oh, Wonder of wonders! When at last I shall see
The glorious countenance of Him Who died for me!
He was marred beyond recognition, whipped and tortured ruthlessly,
But I’ll know that He’s my Savior - for in His
eyes I’ll see
The love of One much dearer than this life ever knew:
By such a death, God’s heart unveiled. He died for me
and you.
God’s love revealed, His own heart bared: In Jesus
- Oh, the Name!
New hope was born and joy released! The blind, the sad, the
lame
Were healed of hurts of many years. We know ‘twas in
His plan:
God’s love expressed in Jesus Christ before the world
began.
His thoughts, I know, were with me as those thorns pierced
His brow.
I never know a love so great could such a fate allow.
But the Father sent His only Son and there upon a tree
Hung life and love when blood was shed for all the world to
see.
So in loving devotion I’ll cling to His side
That was bruised by our sins and was pierced with our pride.
Then in infinite splendor and by royal decree
He’ll declare the Church to be His Bride for all eternity.
A thousand years the earth will see His Kingdom rule and reign,
And all shall know ‘tis Christ, of God: the Lamb for
sinners slain.
