DEAR READER

A Scriptural passage that has been very meaningful to me in recent days is found in Matt 13:3b, "Behold, a sower went forth to sow".

This speaks of our Heavenly Father sowing seed in order to bring forth a harvest. He "sows" the Word of the Kingdom in the hearts and lives of" receptive soil", and then waits for a harvest. He is actively doing His part. Therefore, this places a responsibility upon us, that the "soil of our being" might be fully prepared to receive this "Seed of the Kingdom".

As this produces a harvest in our lives, we are to sow this "Word of the Kingdom" faithfully in the hearts and lives of a hungry and desirous people. Pinecrest Bible Training Center and the Banner are called to this ministry, in cooperation with Him.

That we might be a faithful steward of this calling, we urgently seek your prayer and financial support. This ministry of publishing the Banner and training lives (sowing), cannot continue apart from your active interest and support.

School began this fall with an outstanding group of young people, who came from many places and backgrounds, and intensely desire to be prepared for His purposes. The quality of this group is a challenge to us, that our Lord might find what He is looking for, when He returns for the harvest. We feel that this school year will be a very special time of Spiritual growth and visitation.

Pray with us that the Lord will fully have His way at Pinecrest in this school year. Your support and interest helps make this possible.

It is my desire and prayer that the Banner will continue to be "Kingdom seed", and a blessing and encouragement to you.
