The Climax of the Ages

Little known or understood, and engaged in by but few Christians warriors, is that vast and far-reaching conflict waged against Satan in his malicious attack upon Jesus Christ and the government of Almighty Jehovah. From before the creation until now it has never ceased. Satan gained an entrance into man’s domain, and is incessant in his efforts to obtain complete control of the race and ruin them.

For the reason that man let the Devil in, God would not stoop to put him out. Jehovah had already put Satan out of His own high domain. So He practically said to man, “You let him into your realm; you put him out. You lost My power when you opened the door and let him in. Through the Lord Jesus Christ becoming a man, I will open the way for you to return to My power, and thus make you able to put him out.” Assuming human nature, Jesus Christ made all possible and available. These were great steps toward routing Satan and clearing man’s realm of the imposer and his associates; but a part was left for man to accomplish, and there have been many prolonged severe battles as the consummation draws near.

Great victories, mighty deliverances and extensive reformations and changes have been fought for and obtained by powerful warriors in faith, prayer and intercessions, so that communities, nations, peoples and vast armies have been defeated, reformed and changed. By these battles the downward tide of sin has been stayed and wonderful reformations brought about, but these battles have been fought on the earth plane, and not on the celestial. There have been uplifts for spirit and soul, and at times waves of healing for the body. At times a parcel of ground would be cleared for a time. But sin, like sassafras, spouts up from old roots with a vicious new growth, but none of these conflicts reached Satan’s seat with dethronement power.

We are now not merely to fight for a spot on earth where evil powers have no sway; but Satan and his angels and demons, with their principalities, power and hosts of wicked spirits in the heavenlies (Eph. 6:12) are to be literally and fully defeated, dethroned and cast out of the upper air, where their headquarters under the prince of the power of the air have been; and are to be cast down to earth, thus ending his sway on earth.

In this war the battleground is constantly changing. You cannot be a successful warrior unless you know the nature and location of the enemy. Now in this, the time of the end, old means, methods and attacks will not do. If you follow them, you will be defeated, sometimes without your even knowing how it was done. This is the day of the Lord. He has arisen to the fray. If you get into the battle, you must know . . .

THE TRUE PRESENT PHASE
OF THE CLOSING CONFLICT

Satan is a spirit being, having no body or earth substances; so, too, of the fallen angels associated with him. Demons and associated powers do not have material physical bodies, but they often steal their way into and obsess bodies of mankind.

Man in his earth state is under great limitation on account of a fallen earth body. Satan in his creation did not have a material physical body like man. For this reason man is not in a realm where he can fully and fairly cope with Satan and his forces. They are not on the same plane. Only to the extent and degree that men become Spirit-filled, and are guided by the Spirit of God can they do battle in the true battle. Thus it may be seen that man has been always at great disadvantage in the conflict with Satan and evil powers. This is one reason God had such great sympathy for the race of man.

It is now proposed by the Mighty Jehovah Himself to prepare and equip a company who shall engage with Satan and his cohorts in the realm, state and sphere where they now operate and make their headquarters. The devil was a being created and endowed with great powers vastly superior to those given man. The devil still exerts these powers, but in evil activities against God, and especially against man, because he is the creation of Jehovah designed to fill the vacancy caused by the fall of Satan.

Out of the wreckage of fallen humanity, Jehovah is selecting, calling and organizing an army for this purpose. This company will be put through many steps of preparation, such as cleansing, testing, crucifying, recreating, washing of water by the Word, correction of character flaws, impartation of gifts and gift powers, restoration of the senses, healing of disease, weakness, infirmities and every wrong tendency. They will be without fault before the throne of God. The accuser of the brethren will be overcome and silenced by their testimony. They will be fully equipped and panoplied on a high spiritual and celestial plan, and quite a match for the devil himself. They will master him and cast him down to earth out of the lower heavenlies where he has had his headquarters for centuries. He and all his forces will be cast down to earth. Satan has held his spirit state and roamed at large for a long time. No celestial company of men capable of tackling him ever existed, but his end approaches. Jehovah is raising up a fully prepared army that will defeat and rout him. This will be one of the last, but not the last, battles. An understanding of these last battles of the ages would be unique, interesting and instructive, especially to those called into the arena.

The present activity of God is devoted to selecting, training, teaching, testing, developing, and perfecting this conquering company. To divert Him is impossible. Nor can He be defeated, misled, or in any way prevented. If you understand, see the point: If you feel the call, get into the ranks of preparation quickly. Engage with the Holy Spirit as your teacher, corrector and conductor into the experiences of this preparation for the greatest privilege ever known to man.

This achievement, the clearing of the air (the lower heavens) from the presence and operation of Satan and his angels and powers, is one mighty step toward the entire ending of his long, malicious, terrible preying upon mankind. Thank God! It is near at hand.
