Dear Friends
There are certain qualities that should mark a ministry that
is truly of our Lord’s choosing and blessing.
The first is that any ministry or work must be established
upon a firm foundation. This foundation must be built on solid
rock—Our Lord Jesus Christ. All debris and rubble must
have been removed. Such a building will be able to withstand
any storm. A ministry that is built on the sand of man’s
workings and abilities will fail in the test.
The next is that of the smile of God’s approval, or
the approbation of God. Our chief end is to bring glory to
our Lord. The door that Jesus knocks on is one of intimate
fellowship and communion with Him. Our ministry must meet
the approval of God’s abiding presence and blessing.
Jesus said that a life was to be known by its fruit. A work
or ministry can be judged by what it produces—by the
quality of the fruit in lives that abide under its branches.
I have diligently searched my heart as to how Pinecrest fits
within these conditions. After much prayer and serious reflection,
I feel a fresh and new confidence that we are on the right
path. I have never felt the sense of our Lord’s direction,
purpose, and presence as I do now. I am more than pleased
at the large number of Pinecrest graduates actively serving
our Lord and with the working of our Lord in our midst here.
I invite you to become an active part of this ministry. Your
support is needed in prayer and in giving that lives may be
brought through the process of His workings and made ready
for the visitation of our Lord that is before us. It is my
request and prayer that you will seek to actively do your
part in support of Pinecrest. For all who are presently doing
so, I extend my sincere thanks and prayers for His continued
strength and blessing in your life and ministry.
