A Higher Call
Wade Taylor
In Matthew 17:1, we read, “Jesus taketh Peter, James
and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart
and was transfigured before them.” Those who were the
closest to Him were brought up into a higher realm of revelation,
vision and understanding. All this took place “after
six days.” This speaks of today or our day. We are at
the end of the sixth day in God’s program.
Psalm 87:2 tells us that “the Lord loveth the gates
of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.” Again,
He singles out those who are close to Him and calls them to
a higher realm, ZION. In the message to the last of the seven
churches in Revelation, we find Jesus standing at this gate
(door) knocking. He is so desirous in our day for a people
to enter. In the midst of the greatest period of outpouring
and blessing the church as ever seen, He is standing alone
at the gate and seeking to divert those “who have an
ear to hear” to come up apart.
He is yet knocking. Are you listening for His voice? Will
you enter the gate and ascend the mount with Him to Zion?
This is the day of the Lord!
