In That Day Ishi (Hosea
2:16)
Joanne Cook – Student
The sound of the trumpet is over the land,
The day of awakening has come;
His calling upon us; all flesh is as dross,
His Spirit is rising within.
His praise shall be heard to the end of the earth,
His glory shall cover the seas.
In manifest light, and changed human life,
His victory upon us we’ll see.
A body thou has prepared for me
Of fine precious jewels and array;
Its fragrance of odor is aloes and spice,
Its hands hold sweet honey and dew.
Rejoice O Hermon, for Zion is set free;
A city of refuge to be.
Rejoice O Zion; sing the song of the redeemed.
My garden, O my garden has cast out her wood;
It has taken to itself the ointments of Gilead;
The arbors have cast away the wild grape,
And new wine is running from the hills.
I will skip upon the mountain tops of my garden
And will rejoice to send the reapers
To harvest the basket of her unity.
Then were there brought unto Him little children that he
should put his hands on them and pray: And the disciples rebuked
them. BUT Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them
not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. (Matthew
10:13-15, Mark 10: 13-16, Luke 18:15-17)
Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all they
soul, and with all thy might. And these words which I command
thee this day, SHALL BE IN THINE HEART: AND THOU SHALT TEACH
THEM DILIGENTLY UNTO THY CHILDREN, AND SHALT TALK OF THEM
WHEN THOU SITTEST IN THINE HOUSE, AND WHEN THOU WALKEST BY
THE WAY, AND WHEN THOU LIEST DOWN,AND WHEN THOU RISEST UP.
AND THOU SHALT BIND THEM FOR A SIGN UPON THINE HAND, AND THEY
SHALL BE AS FRONTLETS BETWEEN THINE EYES. AND THOU SHALT WRITE
THEM UPON THE POSTS OF THY HOUSE, AND ON THY GATES. (Deuteronomy
6:4-9)
